Here are some of the most popular questions we hear from our clients on a weekly basis. If your question isn’t here, please, email us and we’ll answer it for you.

Question:
Is it ok to have a few drinks occasionally and still reach my goal?
Answer:

When you are just beginning it is helpful to try to abstain for the first few weeks if possible. After that, you have a cheat day, feel free to have a drink or two on your cheat day but still try to be smart about it. Look for light beer or an alcoholic beverage that is very low in carbohydrates such as vodka or rum. Also, be mindful of what you mix with; try to stick with no calorie mixers such as club soda with a slice of lemon/lime. This will allow you to indulge without an enormous setback. Alternating with a water or club soda will help as well.

Another good idea is to wait until dinner to have your first drink. This will help you make better food choices because the alcohol will not have had the opportunity to break down your inhibitions.

Question:
How do I find the time with my busy schedule to make the right choices?
Answer:

As we have mentioned many times before, it’s a lifestyle change! Part of developing healthy habits is adapting. You will be amazed that with just a few adjustments its really pretty easy to stay on track. For example, maybe your typical Saturday consists of running errands, and bringing kids to their activities, which leaves you little time to eat 5-6 meals because you are on the go. WRONG! Have a healthy breakfast and throw a protein bar or piece of fruit into your purse or car. That way you will have a quick snack available and will not succumb to the food court or a fast food restaurant you are driving by. It’s also important to drink your water so you may want to keep a few of those in the car as well!

Choose to lose…

It's easy to find junk food; always choose the healthy option. Look for low-cal, low-fat foods instead of junk. This will take persistence and willpower — but what worthwhile mission doesn't?

Question:
How can I find enough time to get a proper workout in; I don’t have 2 hours to spend at the gym every day?
Answer:

Work smart, results come from the quality of time you spend at the gym not the quantity. Think of your time at the gym as taking an hour for your self to become the best “you” you can be!

Question:
How long do I have to do cardio?
Answer:

Not that long! I am a firm believer in HIITs, HIITs is high intensity interval training. This allows for shorter cardio sessions yet still gets the heart rate pumping providing a lasting effect to your metabolism. Think about it, have you ever seen a fat sprinter?!

Question:
Are there any secrets to reaching and maintaining your ideal weight?
Answer:

Of course, the secrets each and every one of us already know! The key to obtaining and maintaining your ideal weight are:

  1. Diet
  2. Weight Training
  3. Cardio

Remember, you are not dieting though, this is a lifestyle change and that is how you will maintain your results

Question:
As a woman, if I lift weights will I get bulky?
Answer:

Absolutely not! Women can not add muscle mass as fast as men because they lack male hormones, namely testosterone, which increases strength and size.
